Jim Marshall Dies (Farber Interview)

Jim Marshall Died this Tuesday, 5/23/10.

Jim Marshall has always been my favorite Rock photographer, but I didn't realize it until a couple years back when I picked up "Proof" and kept smiling nodding: "Oh, yeah, that Hendrix picture...Oh he shot that Janis Joplin photo?"

He was the best and most consistent shooting a wild 60s and 70s scene, documentary style. His personality seems to have been an aquired taste -- like olives or strong coffee -- and he was the best...what else is there to say?

If you haven't looked at his pictures in a while, do it now.
